LAWN TENNIS.
Miss Helen Baker, the Pacific Coast tennis champion, conceded the heaviest handicap in the history of the game in the first round of the 1917 Bulletin tournament. She gave Miss Ada McLure owe 50 plus 30 on each game, and in addition gave two games in each set Maurice McLoughlin has frequently given owe 50 plus 30, but has never allowed in addition whole games.
