WEDDING CELEBRATIONS.
A pretty wedding took place at St. John's Church, Parnell. on Monday, when Miss Rose Lanigan. elded daughter of Sergeant and Mrs. l.auigan, police station, Parnell, was married to Mr. John l orbett. also of Parnell. The ceremony was performed by Father tahiil. The bride, who looked charming, was attired in a cream lace frock worn over a satin foundation, and were the regulation veil ami orange blossoms. She carried a shower bouquet, was attended by her two little sisters. Kitty and Thcresc Ltinigaii. as bridesmaids, dressed in pink satin, with pink mob caps. Mr. J. Corbett acted as best .man. and Mr R. Lanigan as groomsman. The silver wedding of Sergeant and Mrs. Lanigun was celebrated in -conjunction with their daughter's wedding. Twenty-five years ago Sergeant and Mrs. I-anigan were married at St. Helens, Lancashire. England, at the .Sacred Heart Church, by the Rev. Father Walmaley. Congratulations have been received from many friends. The wedding of Miss Irene Tooman. elder daughter of Mr. ami Mrs. Arthur Tooman. Epsom, to Mr. W. A. Goodman, took ; !ice very quietly recently in Colombo. The bride wore a pretty frock of white crepe de chine, with a white corded silk hat. Miss Freda Tooman was bridesmaid, and wore a white glace silk frock, with pink net blouse. Tbe bride and bridegroom left by motor for an up-country trip through Ceylon.
