FIRE AT TE AWAMUTU.
(By TelegTaph.—Own Correspordent) TE AWAMLTU, this day. Fire broke out at 4 o'clock this morning in a nine-roomed two-storyed residence at Te Awamiitu. When discovered the fire had a good hold, anil it was impossible to save anything. The bouse wan owned by Mr. .1. Burns, and occupied by Mr. C. I- McDiarmid. The occupants escaped through the windows, anil lost al! their personal efforts and clothing. The building was a fairly old one. having been the homestead of a pioneer settler. There is an insurance on the furniture of _100 in the National. The insurance on the building is, unknown.
