DEFAULTERS CALLED UP.

ORDERED TO PARADE. MAY BE TRIED FOR DESERTION. LIST OF AUCKLAND NAMES. A "Gazette Extraordinary" has been issued, containing the names of the men who, having been called up for service under the Military Servic-t Act, 101 ti. have failed to present themselves for medical examination. The notice refers to tbe fact that such persons may, by notice in the '"Gazette," be ordered to parade, and. on failing to do so, may be tried and punished under the Army Act for the offence of desertion or of absence without leave as the case may bo.

The '-Gazette 7 ' notice further ealfc upon all these men to report at the office of their respective group commanders. The men in the No. 1 (Auckland) group, whose name* appear 'below, arc required to parade at the Group Commander's office in Rutland Street, at 10 axn. on May 17, to undergo medical examination.
