IMPORTERS WARNED. i WHISKY TO BE SCARCE. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) (Received 10.20 a.m.) LONDON, February 8. The Government is considering a-fur-ther curtailment of the importation of paper and paper-making materials. Importers have been advised to restrict their contracts after March 1, as licenses may be curtailed. ' The Government is taking the whole output of the whisky distilleries for some months ahead for the production of explosives. It is expected that whisky will shortly be retailed at 10/ a bottle. The Petrol Committee further restricts the private consumption of petrol after March. This is believed to foreshadow the complete abolition of pleasure motoring.
