NEW CH-XDREN'S HOSPITAL. RETURN OF £1359 FOR EQUIPMENT.

Thp handsome approximate total of £2.500 is now in hand as a result of tha efforts in aid of the Children's Hospital Equipment Fund, the fair of Friday last having yielded £1.359 16/1. The complete returns, which were announced ou i'riday evening by Messrs. W. Bauer and A. J. Woodiey, are as follows:— National Reserve. £67 12/2; sale of bouquet. £7 10/6: Public Service, £107 14/10; Girls' Realm, £40 12/9*; Civic League. £60 1/3; Navy League, £75 9/OA; Navy I_eague (Onehunga), £16 7/10*; Mrs. Beatty's stall, £21 16/7: Ambulance stall, £135 8/6: side shows and art unions. £304 12/1: Theatrical stall, £114 l/4i; Cot stall. £9 12/ li: Mrs. Victor Casev's stall. £176 5/2; Miss Gribben, £41 *2/-; Newmarket stall. £77 11/3; streets collection. £133 IS/6_j. Total, £1,389 16/1. Included in Mrs. Casev's amount is £20 from J. C. Gleeson, £10 from J. M. Thomson. £5 5/- from Mrs. Thorne George, £5 from J. Sheen. In the Civio League amount is £5 from Annie K_irk. In the Theatrical stall, £5 5/- from Philcox and SonsMrs. Casey's art union will be drawn at Mr- Woodley's office on Wednesday night. The Auckland Dramatic and Vaudeville Employees' Association (the promoters of the fund) intend to continue their efforts until a total ol at least £3000 is reached. If more money is obtained it -will be used for the equip ment of a convalescent ward and a playroom for convalescent children.
