POINT CHEVALIER ROAD DISTRICT.
At the meeting of the Point" Chevalier Road Board, foeld on Saturday, fiiere were present: Messrs. T. Dignan* (chairman), J. W. Scott, J. Mackie, F. Fair■weather, and T. Bevin. The foreman of works Teported that shell had been laid on the footpath from the Great North Road down to the beach, a distance of aibout a mile and a half. The Board decided to repair the wall of the cnlvert over Meola Creek, which ; had been knocked about by a recent accident in which a trap came into collision with the stone work. The Ayondale Road Board wrote stating that it would be in a position to pay its proportion of the cost of the improvement of Great North Road as soon ac the new loan money comes in. It -was decided that several private water-meters out of- repair should be attended to at the cost of the owner. Mr. V. A. Martin's plans for thesubdivision of Mr. Annstrorjg'e property was referred to committee to report. The Auckland Gas Company notified its intention of laying a main down Seymour Street, where several new houses ■have ibeen -erected. It was decided by the Board to ask that the pipes be laid deep, as the road has not yet been cut down to its. permanent level. It was also mentioned that at the present time' twelve dwellings aTe in course of erection in? the 'district.
