132 MEN RETURN. O>TLY TWO COT CASES. (By Telegraph.—Press Ansoclatlon.) DUNEDIN, Sunday. A transport arrived here at 3 o'clock to-day, with 178 men. 132 of whom are invalids, the others being the ship's staff and men returning for commissions, etc. There are two cot cases —a steward named Maguire. of the ship's
company, and Farrier Allen Smith, of Canterbury. Four others are "lyingdown" cases, but the men can walk. These are: RiUeman M. Leane.of Queensland: Rifleman J. Stevens, of Australia; Driver W. T. Kirn. of Oamaru; Private McLcaj", of Kiliikihi. The men are in charge of Lieutenant-Colonel Hughes. The ship's medical officer is Major Shar•man. an-d the medical officer in charge of the men is Captain Harrison, one of the doctors who was saved from the Marquettc. Most of the men are returning owing to sickness, very few being wounded. Nine Nine Islanders are on board, all being invalids. Xursing Sisters Humphries of Xapier, Doilds of j Dunedin, Mitchell of Wanganui. and Tiike nf Auckland, are also on board. The northern men leave by the second express tomorrow. The southern men ■having the option of taking the first or second express.
