NICHOLAS ORGANISES NEW ATTACK IN ARMENIA
'RUSSIANS ADVANCE 25 MILES IN A FEW DAYS. APPROACHING THE MILITARY DEPOT AT ERZKROUM. [Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.] PETROGRAD, July 16. Communiques show that the Grand Duke Nicholas organised a vigorous thrust in Armenia along the valley of the Euprhates, -where the Russians in a few days advanced 23 milee in the direction of the military depot at Erzingan, which is 4.5 milps distant. The Turks already have lost practically all they gained in their recent offensive. A communique says:—"West of Erzeroum we have captured a series of new Turkish positions. We are now ten miles from Raibtir. The battle south-west of Mush, 80 miles' couth of lirzeroum, is developing successfully."
