PERSONAL.
Sir Frederick Long, Speaker of the House of Representatives, leaves by the Vain Trunk express this evening for Wellington. Sir. H. E. Pacey, managing director of the New Zealand Dairy Association, returned from Wellington by the Main Trunk express yesterday. Amongst the visitors staying at "Arundel" are: Mrs. Smith (wife of the Hon. George Smith) and Miss Smith (Cliristchurch), Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Foster and Master Foster (London), Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Burke and Master Burke (Sydney), and Mrs. Tom Black and Miss Black ("Wellington). Mr. P. Selig, manager of the Chriatchlurch " Press" Company, Ltd., and chairman of the New Zealand Press Association, at present on a visit to Sydney, was entertained at luncheon lart wenk by the directors of the Independent Cable Association. T*rior to his retnrn he will be the guest of the New South Wales Institute of Journalists at dinner.
