At a special meeting of the committee of the Society for the Protection of Women and Children ami P:C.A., held' on Thursday afternoon, it was unaniimouely decided to endorse the resolutions passed at a meeting of representative women held in the Civic League Rooine on Tuesday evening last, toj£oneider questions as affecting women. The resolutions, which have already been published, relate to the clauses in the War Regulations Bill, particularly affecting women, namely, clause 3, (a) iii., Tor the regulation of the sale of intoxicating liquor to- women"; v., "For the suppression of prostitution, or for the prevention of venereal disease," and demand that they be considered by Parliament before becoming law. It wae further resolved to write to the Premier (the Rt. Hon. W. F. Maseey) to the Hon. J. Allen, Sir Joseph Ward, and fche Auckland members of Parliament, and enclose a copy of the reiplutione.
