Official reports from Mesopotamia state that minor encounters have occurred, in IK'hieb.'the British punished the brigands. Enemy artillery and aircraft ineffectually bombarded the British, lines at Sunsa-i-yat.

LONDON, July 14.
The Duke of Somerset stated in the House of lords that letters from officers in Mesopotamia disclosed a disgraceful state of affairs. He had been informed that 1,000-wounded soldiers had been sent down in one boat in charge of one officer and one orderly. Their wounds had not been dressed until they arrived at Bombay.
