Rabbit is now generally used, and very much liked by many. Here is a nice recipe sent, from Home:—"Hop pot": Wash one small Tabbit, cut into neat joints: parboil one and a-half pounds of potatoes and two onions; slice half a pound fat salt pork or bacon. Pack all these materials in layers into an earthenware pot. with pepper, salt, and a tablespoonful of chopped 'parsley or sage. Begin an end -with a layer of potatoes. Half fill pot with cold water or stock: bake two hours in a moderate oven, and servo in the pot. This is enough for six people.
