POLISH CHILDREN DIE.
WIDESPREAD FAMINE. (Australian and S.Z. Cable Association.) WASHINGTON, July 13. Polish societies have told President Wilson an appalling story of suffering in the portion of Poland in tlie possession .of Germany. . In many districts nearly every child under seven years of age died from starvation. "Many gnawed their own arms" in the madness of hunger. President Wilson has promised to endeavour to get goods sent to the stricken regions.
