TRAINTNG TARMS FOR RETURNED SOLDIERS.
(To ttie Editor.) Sir, —As one who feels that New Zealand's futnre is largely on the land, I,c should like to endorse very strongly the f scheme submitted by the Mayor, Mr. J. C H. Gunson, to the Auckland Patriotic i Association for the training of returned I soldiers to fit them to take up farming, a fruitgrowing, and other occupations on \ the land. Far a considerable time I £ have been firmly of the opinion that the v Government should do eomething more ] than merely provide land for returned i (•oldiers. and a little while ago I sent to i the president of the New Zealand Board i of Agriculture. Sir James G. Wilson, a ( scheme somewhat on the lines advocated s by Mr. Gunson. —I am, etc., i G. GEORGE, Director. ' Serldon Memorial Technical College, ' Auckland. June 20th, 1916. '
