A Berlin communique states: "During Thursday "and Thursday night English and French attacks were repulsed at Farious points, one near Kichebourg by an immediate counter-attack. The enemy sont, ; nued futile gas attacks and intense artillery fire without interruption. On ihe left bank of the Meuse we progressed on-Hill 304. On the right of the Meuse co infantry attacks were attempted."
