BOMBARDMENT INCREASES ON BRITISH FRONT
FIRST LINE OF ENEMY TRENCHES OBLITERATED! SECOND AND THIRD LINES HEAVILY SHELLED. PARIS. June 30. The newspaper "Libcrte" says: —"The British bombardment has increased in violence. For 24 hours the roar of the cannonade has been uninterrupted. Explosions follow at intervals of a few seconds. Xot only the tirst line trenches have been obliterated, but at certain points the British artillery has reached the second and third lines, and has exploded ammunition depots five miles behind t!ie front. Prisoners are dazed and bewildered by the bombardment and the incessant raids of the British infantry, which the enemy is powerless to stop. The British arc in excellent spirits, anil detachments go to the front singing."
