CLEAN SWEEP
OF ALL ENEMY ALIENS. CASES TO BE REVIEWED. (Received 1.50 p.m.) LONDON, June 29. Speaking in the House of Commons, Mr. Joynson Hicks urged that all enemy aliens should be interned. There shonld be a clean sweep made. He stated that there were several German restaurants in existence that were dangerous centres. Mr. Herbert Samuel, Secretary for Home Affairs, stated that a committee had been appointed to review cases in which the police had advised exemptions, and exemptions had been made after consultation with the naval and military authorities.
