COLTHURST A LUNATIC.
f , , . KEPT IN CUSTODY / ECHO OF DUBLIN RIOTS. (Received 1.50 a.m.) LONDON, June 29. Captayi Colthurst has been committed to a criminal lunatic asylum. Captain Bowen Colthurst is tbe officer ■ who was charged with tbe murder of Skeffington and others at the time of the Dublin riots. At the trial it •was. stated that Colthurst, who was in 'charge'of a company of troops, ordered and others to be shot with•out trial, although some of them had to do with the revolt. Medical ■evidence was to the effect that Colthurst '.was in a state of mental instability and ".was unstrung. He was wounded at "Mons and at the battle of the Aisne. As showing the man's state of mind it was mentioned that at Mons, Colthurst had -advanced against the enemy in direct opposition to his orders.
