THE NATIONAL RESERVE.
(To the Editor.) Sir,—As a member of the National Reserve I would like to know what hae become of the controlling body. ]t ■16 mouths since we have heard anything official. As things are at present, we see no good purpose to be gained by our carrying on. Why not let us know, so that we need not waste cur time in useless.work? But if our services arc required, it is time our district officers woke up. 1 believe that some time ago regulations were drawn up by representatives from the different centres of the Reserve and submitted to the Minister of Defence for his approval. That was over three months ago, but so far nothing has come of it.— J am, etc., t. [Official recognition of thp National Reserve has now been made by Order-in-Council published in the "New Zealand Gazette." The creation of districts and constitution of an executive council are provided for.—Ed.]
