DUTCH LINER SUNK IN NORTH SEA.

CAPTAIN BEUEVES SHE WAS TORPEDOED.

PASSEWGEBS AKD CKEW BELIEVED TO BE BATE. (Received 11.35 a-m-) LONDON, March Iβ. A •wireless message was received this morning from the Dutch liner Tubantia, a vessel of 13,911 tons, built in 1914, to the effect that she was sinking in the North Sea. The Tubantia left Amsterdam yesterday for Buenos Ayres with 83 passengers, a crew of 294, and a large cargo and mails. The first message indicating that her position was near the North Hinder light, on the Dutch coast. She was afloat at 8.30 this morning, but no later reports have been received. The passengers seem to have got clear, and two boats of survivors have already reache North Hinder. It is believed that a Dutch steamer picked up the others. Plenty of succour was sent, including torpedo boats from Flushing. It is doubtful whether she was mined or torpedoed, but her captain strongly ielieves that a submarine deliberately sank the vessel.
