On Wednesday evening last a most successful social was held in the l'ukenu-i Hall, Huntly 'West, tendered to Mr Goo. ■Kumiss, -who Is at present on leave from Trentham. The members of the Presbyterian Chntch presented the Rev. J. Richards, who has ibeen transferred to Blenheim, with .an

illuminated address and a purse of sovereigns. The function took place in the church, and was well attended.
