The first meeting was held in Auckland in February. In accordance with yonr wishes we arranged for suitable entertainment for the officers and delegates. The meeting passed off satisfactorily in every way. It being obvious that a sufficient sum of money to establish the proposed convalescent home is impossible while the war lasts, your executive decided tbat it would answer no purpose to collect the levy authorised, consequently no action was taken.
