Some time ago the members of the I-a-liea' Emergency Committee of we Navy League, Auckland branch, cent two cases of mufflers for the men on H.M.S. New Zealand during the cold winter in the North Sea. The captain oi the warship has sent a letter to Captain Hood, Auckland, thanking the committee for their kindness. The letter explains that the New Zealand's men were well supplied with everything they wanted, so the mufflers were sent to other ships less fortunately situated, §uch as drifters and mine sweepers.
