YACHTING. ;•* RACE TO AWAROA BAY. The cruising race to Awaroa Bay, held on Saturday afternoon by the Ponsonby and North Shore Yacht Clubs resulted as follows:— NORTH SHORE. There was a collision at the start, In which the Dulcie suffered slight damage. The iMahaki was not concerned in the mix-up, as was stated In our eight o'clock edition. ONEOTNGA BOAT RACE. There were some close finishes in the Motor Boat Club's rafe, vaiiich took place on Saturday afternoon at Onehuuga. Satisfaction was expressed by the competitors with the handicaps. Mascotte had 4o pull out of the race owing to engine trouble. The race started early to enable some of the boats to convey about forty members of the Onehnnga Platoon of the National Reserve to Cornwalus for military exercises on Bunday.
