— ■ m ■— » JTJBW GROUJTD OPENED. BY PRIME MINISTER. People's Day at the Franklin A. and P. Association's thirty-first annual show, held at Fukekoho, was remarkably successful. On Saturday morning many hundreds of people arrived at the new showground by rail, and road, and the crowd was further increased in the afternoon., Jho guest of. the day was the Prime Minister; Right Hon. W. F. Massey, who arrived about 11 aih.,- accompanied by Miss Massey, and afterwards for'rhally opened the society's hew ■ko^ETpundi;which is "situated a' short distance from the Pnkek'ohc railway station. In declaring.the ground' open. Mr. Massey congratulated the Bocietv and ita president (Mr. D. R. Hamilton) oh securing so good a site, and said that the hew Bhowground seemed admirably suited *°r its purpose. The Franklin A. and P. Society was doing an excellent work in the district, and he believed 1 that' it would become one of the largest bodies of its kind in the Auckland province.
