COST OF LEVING.

"great deal has been said ' and written lately about the enormous increase ■in the cost of living.: certainly has been an increase 'in prices of. many, or. most, articles, bat on going over our accounts for the-last, six months, I found, they have been and are still leas than 10/-, per head wee.kly—cost of food and gasi for cooking;and light for an adult family. -This, includes one pint of milk daily. ■ There was no special need for, or any effort made to be economical. Wp had our usual comfortable- ineals.Jand the,, usual' amount of callers and visitors.. It is quite, possible with.ordinary ease and economy, without being miserly, to' keep the food cost :at less than 10/ per head weekly (for adults).—l am, etc., WORKER.
