ONE-MAN-ONE-VOTE PROPOSAL LONDON, November 23. Mr. Asquith has anuuonced that he 7 will introduce the Parliamentary Regis-. jtration Bill to-morrow. The measure .: I deals with the duration of the present Parliament. I It is reported in connection with the I bill that the representatives of two \ parties in the Cabinet have agTecd to I the principle of one man one vote, and I also that all votes shall have ah equal 7 value. At present the right to vote for » member of the British House of Commons is confined to those adult aisles whose names appear on the register 'of voters in force for counties or boroughs. The necessary qualification is .that of owners or tenants of land or buildings i or occupiers as lodgers of lodging of an annual value of not less than £10. :l'ne Government introduced bills providing : for the abolition of plural voting in 1913 and 1914, but on each occasion the measure after passing the Commons wis ', thrown out in the House of Lords.
