DRINK AND MILITARISM.
TWO METHODIST ENEMIES. (Received 9.25 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. The Rev. Dawson (President of the New Zealand Methodist Conference), speaking at the Methodist Centenary celebrations, eaid that in New Zealand they cultivated patriotic piety and pioos patriotism, and had get their faces against two of the great enemies of the race, including the liquor business and German militarism. New Zealanders meant to go on fighting them until a triumph was secured. Mr Dawson convoyed greetings from the Dominion's Methodists to the Methodists of Australia.
