LADIES* NURSING.DIVISION.

On Saturday, April .17th, a military tatoo will be held on the Domain Cricket Ground. Some 300 men will take part, and also several" bands. Sergfc-Major Hopkins has kindly undertaken the training of the men, who will assemble for practice on Monday and Friday evening 3. It is hoped that by means of this gathering the Reserve's funds will be considerably augmented. ; A signalling class in connection with the Ladies' Home Nursing Division will be started in the lecture-room at the [Drill Hall on Wednesday evening next, 131 st inst., at, 7.30 p.m. At a meeting- of the centra) executive committee held on Friday last it was decided to suggest to the southern districts that a conference of represents!tives from the different districts be held in Wellington to discuss matters . of mutual Interest, and it is hoped" that the conference, If held, will be productive of much benefit to the movement as a whole throughout the Dominion. The ladies' nursing division 13 now thoroughly established, and good work is being done under the direction of TDr. Mackenzie. The useful nature of the instruction given at the classes, which are held in the St. John Ambulance rooms on Friday evenings, appeals strongly to the lady members of the ReServe, and &s a natural result the membership is increasing rapidly. .' " On Tuesday next, 30th inst. a meeting will be field in'the >31amikau 'Hall, Epsom, for the purpose of forming an Epsom branch of the Reserve. Strong support has been promised, and it is confidently anticipated that a large and vigorous branch will be formed. - The Henderson branch is doing most* useful • work. The -members have constructed a range, and have secured the." use of rifles. On Easter Monday a rifled" meeting, amongst the branches iri_Hen-'* dersoh, Waikumete, Xew 'Lynn. 7AJrondale. etc., will be held.
