Twenty Austrian battalions under cover of a hurricane of fire from 12-in. howitzers attacked a greatly inferior force along the Liuzna-Ropica and Russka front, in Northern Galicia, on Friday. They approached tc within 200 paces of the trenches, when they were repulsed with enormous losses.
