DISPUTE ABOUT A BINDER.

A case -was heard at the Alagistrate's Court yesterday afternoon by Mr C. C. Kettle, 53!., in which the plaintiffs were the | International' ("Han-ester Company of Xew Zealand, Ltd. (Mr. McCon- • nell), .. and - -the . defendants, Messrs. Alexander and " C. and J. McCulley, farmers, of Waiuku (Mr. Clayton).* The action was in connection with a McCormick reaper and binder, which plaintiff alleged had been hired by one person and 'bought at auction by defendants. Plaintiff claimed an in'terst in the binder to the extent of £32. They asked to recover either that sum or possession of the binder. Evidence on behalf of the plaintiff company was given by F. W. Jones (managing director), and also Andrew Taylor. Mr. Clayton said defendant had got a machine, but explained he did not admit it was the particular machine, claimed-by the plaintiffs. 'Mr,.-Clayton submitted he had nothing to answer. Mr. 7 Kettle: Do you wish.to accept a nonsuit," Mr. McConnell?
