GERMANS PREPARING TO HOLD ANTWERP.

ANTICIPATE ALLIED ADVANCE FROM YSER. GHENT AND BRUGES NOT TO BE DEFENDED. (Received 8.20 a-m.) LONDON, March 23. A report from Amsterdam states that the Germans scattered at Bruges and Ghent are being gathered in to garrison Antwerp, because the Germans expect the Allies to make an early movement, and if the Germans are unable to hold the line of the Yser it is not expected that Ghent or Bruges will be defended.
