ALLEGED DESERTION.
FROM THE FIRST EGYPT FORUE. This morning Detectives Quartermain and Isaell arrested, in Auckland, a voting man named John Corkin. on a charge of having deserted from the Waikato Regiment of the main Expeditionary Force in November. It is alleged that Corkin, after having placed his effects aboard the troopship Waimana, deserted the force.
