FALSE PASSPORTS

SECURED IN THE STATES BY HIGH GERMAN OFFICIAL. NEW YORK, March 21. A German reservist, named Richard Stegler has been sentenced to 60 days in gaol, and two accomplices, Richard Madden and Gustav Cook, to 10 month* each, for conspiring to secure false passports, whereby Stegler might have been enabled to leave the country. It was stated in Court that a high official in the German Government, accreditee to the United States, and therefore immune from arrest, was /really.'tbe guilty party, and that the accused men were only his catspaws.
