WATERSIDE WORKERS' FUNCTION. The immediate care of the injured is a matter of paramount importance, and rapid transit to the Hpspital may mca_n saving life in certain cases. . In this connection it is interesting to note that next Wednesday afternoon, at 3.30 o'clock, the motor ambnlance purchased by subscriptions o! s Auckland- citizens, will be formally handed over to the Hospital and Charitable' Aid Board*- Aβ the motor -was presented by the people, the public are invited to attend the func-. tion. Invitatione have been also issued by the cbairman. and members of. the Ambulance Committee. . UNION MOTOR ASIBUtANCE. 'An interesting -function'took place on No. 2 jetty at 2.30 o'clock this afternoon,, namely the official installation of the Auckland Waterside .Workers' Union, ambulance motor. The gathering,, was. held in the wharf shed, and. a. display of flags enhanced the gaiety, of the scene. Mr. J. H. Gunson (chairman of the Harbour Board) and.Mr. C. J.
