■ CLAIM FOR PENALTY DISMISSED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. New conditions in the bakery bueinese in consequence 'of the establishment of automatic bakeries has Jed *o a test oaee bping stated before the Arbitration Court to-day. The Inspector of Awards proceeded against the Automatic Bakeries, Ltd., to Teeover a £10 penalty for employing, during fcbe .wsek ended January 16, a baker between midnight and 4 sum., and failing to pay double ratee. Th« employment of men before 3 a.m. was admitted, 'but it was contended that the firm was entitled to exemption, since It had- country d«diveriee within the meaning of the award. The Court dismfeed the claim.
