Bertram Dunn, Reform candidate for Riccarton at the last election, apppeared an Oonit to-day cha>rged witii having.attempted to procure abortion, and was remanded) till Friday next. He was allowed ba/il, himself in' £300 and one surety of £300. The case was th« outcome of evidence given at an inquest on the death of an illegitimate child last Monday.
