Previously hie character has been excellent. Gallot stated that his dishonesty had been due to drink. Gallot was prohibited, convicted, and ordered to come up for sentence when called on, being at the same thne cautioned that should his general conduct not be satisfactory he could be brought up and sentenced on the present charge. He was also required to pay 27/0 costs within a month. MISCELLANEOUS. Arthur B. Kevin (37), who had deserted the s.s. Rotorua on St. Patrick's Day, was sentenced to a week'g imprisonment, and ordered to be put aboard the ship when she sailed.
