a —— The monthly meeting of the committee of Hie Auckland Automobile Association was held last night in .Mr Ceo. W. Hutchinson's office. Doctors' Waiting Cars.—The chairman reported that as a result of a deputation to tbe Council, medical men wore now to be permitted to leave their cars for what period they choose when attending cases, iustead of being restricted to a-yuiifter of an hour. Rounding Off Street Corners. —The chairman also reported that at the Seddon Memorial corner, owing to tile deputation from their association to the Local Bodies' Association, steps were now being taken to round off the six coiners there; which would be a great benefit' to traffle-. Motor Traffic Regulations.—The secretary submitted a draft of re,sulaj,l.oiis. for motor traffic, which it is proposed to forward t" the Local Bodies' Association rift ! 'a ' guide for the forming of uniform-by-laws for the city and suburban districts. The speed limit was defined as not more than eight miles au hour "over, along or across" crossings or corners. The chairman said that was practically the same as the city by-laws, where there was no speed limit over dangerous crossings, Intersections, or around corners. What was safe enough in the city should surely be all right for the outside bodies. Mr Hemingway said the Act of Parliament simply stipulated that motor cars should not so at "a greater speed Hihu is reasonable." Motorists' Guide Book.-The chairman said it was proposed to issue a vcar book that would be of interest to motorists, mid of especial use to vi.-itors who wished to know where to go with their ears. Power was given by the committee to the president to take the matter of preparing such a book as was suggested.
