(To the Editor.) Pir. — I note by your columns Mr. Massey holds out a threat that it" bread is further raised in price he will start State bakeries in the four centres. 1 can hear the bakers laugh. I can see the poor old eilly public being again humbugged. First cast your eve back over one transaction alone, i.e., the wheat question, and how it was bungled b\- this allegedly " strong man." Just pause and think! Four months ago we held our elections, and to-day we do not know really who is. or should be. in power, but this we Jo know that those of tip who have famiKes to provide for arc "had'" all the time. —I am. etc..
