ADVANCE IN LONDON. - 4 Received 9.5 a.m) LONDON". March 16. At the wool sales the catalogue totalled 10.453 bales, of which 3,445 were from New Zealand. There was a good attendance of buyers. The general competition of Americans was somewhat reserved, owing to inability to ship after the last wool sales. Crossbreds were fully" 5 per cent above last closing raTes: "best merinos barely maintained their rates; fanlties were 5 per cent cheaper, and scoured a half-penny to a penny. Tbe following cable relaiins to tbe Loudon wool market has been received by the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency «'o., Ltd.. under yesterday's date: •Wool sales opened, good merino no change in market. Others weaker. Greasy ■•rossbred. medium and coarse, five per cent <learer. France and America competing.''
