RUSSIAN ADVANCE IN INDIAN PILE IN CARPATHIANS.
r (Received 10.5 a.m.) LONDON, March 16. From Bucharest it is reported that there has been a big battle at Novo Sulitsa, in Bukowina, and that the Austrians retreated after suffering heavy losses. It is officially stated in Petrograd that the Russian advance in tbe Carpathians is slow. The troops move slowly in Indian file along beaten paths, and this is involving heavy losses.
