BOOT FACTORY PICNIC.

On Saturday Inst, March 13. Messrs Trenwlth Bros.. "Pioneer" Boot rartory, held their sixth annual picnic, when upwards of 600 pleasure seekers Journeyed to Motutapu, under very favourable weather conditions. An energetic committee worked off a lengthy programme of 18 events. Messrs. M. and A. Trenwlth acted as judges, the racing being very kcenlv contested, ln some Instances only inches sepnrntlng plnced competitors. On the homeward journey toys and lollies were distributed amongst the children, and the prizes wore awarded to the winners of the various events by the nrm. On the motion of the chairman, wnrmlv supported by those present, a hearty vote of thanks was accorded to the firm for their generosity, which wnß curried by three hearty cheers, this ending a very enjoyable day.
