NEW CHURCH DEDICATED.
The ceremony of dedicating the new Anglican church at Edendale, in the St. j Alban's parish, was performed yesterday afternoon by Bishop Averill. The building is of wood, With a floor space covering an area of 45ft by .9ft, and is of a pleasing design. The Bishop said that it seemed appropriate that the new church should be dedicated to St. Chad, the first Bishop of Lichfield, who held the office in 669. Bishop Selwyn, the pioneer bishop of 2Sew Zealand, took charge of the LichHeld Ssee twelve centuries later. The donors of the site upon which the new church is built, Mrs. W. H.
