AUSTRALIA'S PAVILION. THE FORMAL OPENING. PLEAS FOR PEACE. (Received 10.20 a.m.) SAN FRANCISCO, March 12. Ten thousand witnessed the dedication of the Australian pavilion at the Panama Exhibition. The speeches of Mr JJeakin and others were largely pleas for peace. Mr E. Clifton (New Zealand Commissioner) concluded a brilliant address by saying: "1 hope your great President will find some way of bringing the warring nations to their senses, and before this great Exposition closes its last days will bo marked by a conference that will mean an honourable and lasting peace."
