NEXT MONTH'S ELECTIONS.
LABOUR TICKETS. FOR CITY COUNCIL AND HOSPITAL BOARD. A ballot ihae just been taxen by the Labour Representation Committee in connection with the selection of sis Labour candidates for eeate on the City Council. The n&mee of eleven nominees were submitted to those entitled to rote, and keen Interest was evinced in Labour circles in the result. Every financial member of the organisation waft entitled to a vote, and the ballot was in progress for two daye. Tine result wne announced last evening, and the following will go to the poll on the Labour ticket: Meesre. M. J. Savage, Wesley Richard*, O. McBrine, T. Bloodworth, E. Watte, and T. Long.
I The Labour Representation Committee also resolved to run three candidates /or the Hospital and Charitable Aid Board. lAβ there were only three nominations, the Labour ticket will consist of Dr. .Florence Keller, Mrs. T. Bloodworth, and > Mr. Paul Richardson.
It is unlikely that the Committee will i run candidates for the Harbour Board. An effort is being made to thoroughly organise the Labour vote in the Greater I Auckland area, and election committees are -being iformed in City Central, City West, City East, Parnell, Grey Lynn, Archhill, and Renruera. It is believed, that Labour's political organisation will be more complete at the forthcoming election than at any time previously.
