' THE WAIKATO TOTjttNAMKST. (By Telegraph—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. For a week past a croquet tournament has been In progress on the Hamilton and W'hitiora lawns. The weather lias been ideal throughout, and the games have been most Interesting and keenly contested. On Wednesday the final of the championship doubles 'was played, and resulted In Mrs Bull and Mrs Cowles (Hamilton) defeating Mrs G. Hyde and Mrs Fergusou (Hamilton) by 8 points. At present the section -winners In the single championship matches are'plnylng off f%. the semi-finals. The finals will' be played ■■to-morrow. Gonv petitors are present from'Rotorua, Thames. Morrlnsvllle. Te Awamutu, Cambridge, and all the local clubs. The arrangements are In every way most satisfactory, visitors commenting In favourable terms upoi their hospitable treatment.
