THREE NOMINATIONS RECEIVED.
Three candidates have "been nominated to fill an extraordinary vacancy on the Auckland Education Board, consequent upon the resignation of Mr. E. C. Purdie, who represented the North, ward. Tlie nominations closed yesterday afternoon, when the following had been named: Mr.. J. H. McCarroll, Aratapu; R. C. Smith, Matakone- and Mr. W. P. Storey, Auckland.
