KITCHENER RETURNS TO LONDON.
AFTER EMBARKING FOR THE CONTINENT. (Received 9.10 a.m.) LONDON. August 5. Earl Kitchener of .Khartoum, British Agent in Egypt, left London yesterday for Bover, where he embarked on a steamer bound to Calais. Before the vessel sailed, however, Britain's righting chief received a telegram from the War Office, and lie tmmcdiatetly left the vessel and returned to London.
